Spoonie Necklace

Inspired by The Spoon Theory. The Spoon Theory is a metaphor created by Christine Miserandino to explain what it is like to live with chronic illness or disability. It uses spoons as units of energy.

• each person starts the day with a limited number of "spoons" (energy)
• Healthy people have more spoons and can do tasks without worrying they will run out of spoons
• People with chronic illness or disability have fewer spoons and must carefully choose how to spend them, because simple tasks such as getting dressed, making food, or going to work - can use multiple spoons, and once they are out of spoons they are out of energy and can not function normally.
